The tripped transmission towers of the Ashuganj-Sirajganj transmission line is back in operation again.
The transmission line has started its operation again on Wednesday at 1.00 AM after around 4 months of repair.
Earlier on 1st May of this year, two towers of Ashuganj-Sirajganj transmission line going across the Mrghna river got damaged heavily due to a storm which resulted in complete disruption of power transmission through the line.
However, transmission partially began to Sirajganj area shortly after the tripping of the towers using a bypass line of Ashuganj-Ghorashal.
The first circuit of the repaired transmission line has already started transmitting 200 MW of power and the second circuit will transmit 300 MW of power from 1st October.
