Bangladesh is going to sign the Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons.
In the next general assembly of the United Nations, Bangladesh is
likely to sign at the treaty on Prohibition of Nuclear Weapon. The
cabinet has already approved the proposal of signing at the Nuclear
Weapon Prohibition Treaty. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will sign at
the treaty on behalf of Bangladesh.
The proposal of signing at the treaty got approved at a cabinet
meeting presided over by Sheikh Hasina which was held at Prime
Minister’s office on today.
Cabinet secretary Mohammad Shafiul Alam said that, 122 countries have
already signed at the treaty; Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and UN
secretary general will sign at the treaty on prohibition of nuclear
