The Asian Development Bank has approved debt financing and partial risk guarantees totaling USD583 million to develop the Reliance Bangladesh Liquified Natural Gas (LNG) and power project. Country’s economic growth reached a record 7.28 percent in the current fiscal year 2016-17 (FY17), according to Bangladesh Bureau of Statistics (BBS). Eight people have been burned after a gas fire in Dhaka’s Demra. The fire broke out around 3:30am on Monday at a house owned by Sattar Miah in Konapara’s Al Amin Road. The fire service believes the cause may have been a leaking gas pipe.
