Titas Gas Transmission and Distribution Company limited, one of the state owned distribution authority recently has disconnected a total of 66 thousands 904 illegal gas connections including 75.29 kilometers of gas line, one industrial and four commercial illegal gas connections. A land-based LNG (Liquefied Natural Gas) terminal is about to be built on the island of Kutubdia, Cox’sbazar. The government signed with the Asian Development Bank (ADB) a $167 million loan agreement for financing a project to improve infrastructure and operational efficiency of the country’s gas sector.
