A leading German-based company – FEAL Industrial Solutions – on Monday offered modern technological and technical support for Bangladesh to manage its industrial sector’s waste.
The company also agreed to support Bangladesh in generating solar energy, wind power, port management, roads infrastructure development and modernization of Bangladesh’s steel industry.
A four-member delegation, led by chairman of the company Achin Kilingberg, met Industries Minister Amir Hossain Amu at Shilpa Bhaban and put forward the offer.
Industries secretary M Mosharraf Hossain Bhuiyan, joint secretary Afroza Khan, delegation member DK Banerjee, FEAL Managing Director Debasish Mukherjee and its Bangladesh Chief Operating Officer M Julfikar Sheikh were present.
Amu, at the meeting, said the government has been working for building a sustainable and environment-friendly in the country.
The Industries Minister welcomed the German company’s offer saying ‘this is a positive proposal’.
Amu also said the government will scrutinize the proposal and then take necessary steps to that end.
