India – Bangladesh Energy Cooperation

Some Bangladeshi media speculated that India would soon put up formal proposal for getting transit through Bangladesh territory from east to west to link West Bengal with Assam, Tripura and Meghalaya. It may also seek facilities to utilise Chittagong port. There are several other issues; the most pressing one is the cooperation in the Energy sector in the backdrop of severe global energy crisis.

Draft Coal Policy Sent to Cabinet Division
