Indian Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Petroleum and Natural Gas Dharmendra Pradhan is coming to Dhaka.
The Indian High Commission says the minister will be visiting Dhaka from Apr 17 to Apr 19 at the invitation of his Bangladesh counterpart Nasrul Hamid.
He will be accompanied by a high level delegation consisting of heads of Indian Public Sector Units in the energy sector.
During the visit, he is expected to call on Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and have bilateral meetings with his counterpart and other dignitaries in Bangladesh.
Bilateral cooperation between India and Bangladesh in the energy sector has been “steadily increasing” in the last few years, the High Commission says.
Several proposals for cooperation both in the private and public sectors including petroleum, LPG and LNG sectors are under consideration of both sides.
