A mild earthquake has been felt in the northern part of Bangladesh, including capital Dhaka on Monday.
The Bangladesh metrology Depertment officials said, shockwaves of the earthquake at India’s Meghalaya were felt in Bangladesh at 1:42pm local time.
The 4.6 on Richter scale earthquake originated at Meghalaya’s Lakhipur, said Earth Quake Observation Official Mominul Islam.
The US Geological Survey (USGS), however, says it was a magnitude 5 quake.
Reports of casualties or damages due to the quake are yet to come in.
