Power Grid Company of Bangladesh Limited (PGCB) has handed over a cheque worth 42 crore 17 lac 35 thousand and 618 taka to Bangladesh Power Development Board (BPDB or PDB) on account of the dividend of FY 2015-16.
Md. Abul Kalam Azad, the chairman of PGCB and the Chief Coordinator (SDG) at the Prime Minister’s Office handed over the cheque officially to Engineer Khaled Mahmud the chairman of PDB on Tuesday.
Power division secretary and PGCB director Dr. Ahmed Kaykaus, PGCB director Jamaluddin Ahmed, Major General Moinuddin, S M Khabiruzzaman Pinj, Abu Kalam Chaudhury, Barrister M Enamul Kabir Emon, Shekh Md Abdul Ahad, Dr. A B M Harun-ur-Rashid, A K M A Hamid, PGCB managing director Masum Al Beruni were present at the occasion among other high officials from both companies.
PGCB sources said that, BPDB has 76.25 percent ownership over PBCB and general shareholders have the rest amount of shares.
Earlier, PGCB declared a 12 percent cash dividend for its shareholders in its 20th AGM held on 7th January this year.
