The power division has expressed their grief as they couldn’t supply enough electricity in the country’s northern part as per to the prevailing demand. Residents of the country’s northern part have been facing frequent power outage or load shading for the past couple of days which have been damaging the vicinity’s agriculture and trade.
The power division has expressed their regret for this frequent load shading in the northern part of Bangladesh in a recent official statement released on today.
According to the statement, the division admitted that they couldn’t manage to supply adequate power to the affected area as the 230kV transmission line of Ashuganj-Sirajganj had tripped on 1st May due to a tornado. Another reason behind the inadequate power supply was the ongoing re-rolling process of a few power plants. The division regretted the unwanted load shading and claimed that the situation would become normal again before the holy month of Ramadan.
