The loan agreement on installing the most awaited power plant of Rampal is going to be signed today. The deal is likely to be signed this evening.
The coal-based power plant of Rampal has a budget of $2 billion, among which $1.6 billion will be financed by the Indian Exim Bank. The Indian Exim bank will ink a deal on this $1.6 billion loan with the plant materializing authority Bangladesh-India Friendship Power Company Limited (BIFPCL).
According to the related sources, BIFPCL will arrange a board meeting on today regarding this deal signing and the deal is about to be signed after the meeting.
