Titas Gas Transmission and Distribution Company Limited has declared a 5.12 taka per share or 22 percent cash dividends for its shareholders for the fiscal year of 2016-17. The announcement came at the 36th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the company held at the capital’s Officers’ Club.
Nazimuddin Chaudhury, secretary of the Energy Division and the Chairman of Titas Board chaired the meeting. Board of director’s members and shareholders of the company attended the meeting.
The company has sold 17019 mmcf gas in the fiscal year of 2016-17 and earned an amount of 11 thousand, 551.05 crore Tk, claimed the AGM report. According to the report, this year’s earnings increased by 10.9 percent. The company ultimately made a profit of BDT 681.37 crore before paying the taxes and was later curtailed to BDT 506.48 crore after paying the taxes. In terms of this calculation, the profit against each of the shares that has a face value of 10 taka was 5.12 taka.
