The prices of diesel, kerosene, petrol, and octane have been reduced by Tk 2 per litre for the month of February.
Under the new rates, the price of diesel has been lowered by Tk 2 to Tk 100 per litre, kerosene has been reduced by Tk 2 to Tk 112 per litre, petrol has been cut by Tk 2 to Tk 116 per litre, and octane has been decreased by Tk 2 to Tk 120 per litre.
The Ministry of Power, Energy and Mineral Resources issued a notification in this regard on Saturday. The new prices will come into effect from Sunday, 1 February.
The rates have been set under the automatic fuel pricing mechanism in line with the international market.
