Following the trend in fuel oil prices, the price of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) has also been kept unchanged for the month of May.

On Sunday, the Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission (BERC) announced the prices for May.

As in April, the price of a 12 kg LPG cylinder remains unchanged at Tk 1,940. At the consumer level, including VAT, the price per kg remains Tk 161.71.

The consumer-level price of government-supplied LPG, including VAT, will also remain unchanged at Tk 776.93 per 12.5 kg.

At the consumer level, the price of autogas, including VAT, has been set at Tk 89.52 per liter.

BERC stated that for May, the Saudi Aramco Contract Price (CP) for propane and butane has been set at USD 750 and USD 800 per metric ton respectively. Accordingly, the average Saudi CP stands at USD 782.50 per metric ton. Considering an average exchange rate of Tk 123 per US dollar, the consumer prices of private LPG and autogas for May have been adjusted accordingly.
