ABB holds technical seminars

ABB is one of the leading engineering companies in the offering state of the art power & automation solutions to industries and utilities with a declared mission of minimizing environmental impact and maximizing efficiency.
The company organized seminars on 17th and 18th February in Dhaka. ABB faculties from around the world – Finland, Germany, Italy, India, Australia and Dubai – apart from the companies local technical experts dwelt upon the solutions the company can provide in ensuring problem free power distribution networks & systems with robust products and latest technical innovations, which also make the systems future proof in terms of technology obsolescence
The seminars over the two days were attended by almost 200 customers and stakeholders from Bangladesh, which included ambassadors, senior managers of utility companies, industry captains and a host of budding engineers eager for new knowledge.
Among the technologies discussed were the latest innovation in Gas Insulation technology which lessens environmental impact as compared to the current practices. Also discussed were the innovations in automation of the distribution system, importance of sourcing the noble components like circuit breakers & relays from a technology leader using latest manufacturing techniques that virtually eliminate human errors and the significance of including safety features like arc protection so that an accident does not turn fatal nor lead to a fire incident.
Mr Noaman Amjad, Regional Division Manager, Power Products for Asia, Middle East & Africa region of ABB reiterated ABB’s commitment to Bangladesh as one of the key growth economies and assured continued technical support. He mentioned that Bangladesh, at the cusp of a distribution network revolution, is on the right path in choosing proactively the trendsetter technologies in the field which can eventually lead to larger multinational footprints in the country.
Mr Rajarshi Banerjee, Managing Director of the company in Bangladesh thanked the participants for their enthusiasm and the support.
