Bangladesh will take assistance from India in using Atomic Power. Regarding this matter, a deal is going to be signed between Bangladesh and India. The draft of this agreement on mutual assistance between Bangladesh and India got approved by the cabinet. This draft got approved in this Monday in a cabinet meeting where the prime minister Shekh Hasina was present as the president. Technical support for building Ruppur power plant will be taken from the neighbor country India, as they have previous experience in constructing such kind of power plants.
“India has the right experience and basically the deal will be signed to share knowledge and to take technical assistance”, the
Cabinet minister MD. Shafiul Alam said right after the meeting. He also added that, India’s such assistance will be taken in purpose of peaceful usage of atomic energy.
