All Fuel Depots Across the Country to Remain Closed on Wednesday: BPC

Staff Correspondent, Dhaka (Wednesday 1 July 2026):

Fuel supply and marketing activities from all fuel depots and major installations across the country will remain suspended on Wednesday due to annual closing stock counting, asset valuation, and physical verification activities.

The information was disclosed through an official order issued by the Bangladesh Petroleum Corporation (BPC).

The order instructed that marketing activities at all depots and installations, including the main installation in Chattogram, will remain closed.

The directive was issued in a letter signed by Ferdousi Masum Himel, General Manager of the Distribution and Monitoring Department of BPC.

The order has been sent to the heads of all concerned organizations, including Jamuna Oil, Padma Oil, Meghna Petroleum, and Eastern Refinery.

Special arrangements have been made to keep aviation operations normal during this period.

The order stated that to ensure uninterrupted supply of fuel oil to domestic and international airlines, the annual verification process of Jet A-1 fuel storage tanks at the relevant depots must be completed as quickly as possible and supply operations should be kept active.
