The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has said the global economy has weakened further and warned it was “highly vulnerable to adverse shocks”. Bangladesh losses 0.18% of its forests annually due to environmental and human causes, parliament heard on Monday. In reply to a query in the House, Environment and Forests Minister Anwar Hussain said the country currently has 2.3 million hectares of forest cover, of which 84% is natural forest.
