Decision On 4-Hour Gas Rationing In Industries Withdrawn

The government has withdrawn the decision of keeping stop the use of gas from 5pm to 9pm daily for industrial customers, which was earlier imposed on the occasion of the holy Ramadan.

National oil company Petrobangla announced the withdrawal of the decision in a notice on Thursday.

Industrialists expressed dissatisfaction after the government ordered them to stop using gas from 5pm to 9pm daily from Apr 11 amid a shortage during Ramadan.

It came after CNG filling stations were told to remain closed for six hours every day in order to ensure uninterrupted supply to the power plants.

Earlier, the Petrobangla issued a directive on April 11 urging all the industrial customers to stop using gas for four hours a day from 5 pm to 9pm daily for the next 15 days from April 12.
