Staff Correspondent, Dhaka (Tuesday, March 24, 2026)

The price of jet fuel used in both domestic and international flights has been increased in Bangladesh. The Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission (BERC) announced the new rates in a gazette notification issued on Tuesday.

According to the decision, the price of jet fuel for domestic routes has been raised from Tk 112.41 per litre by Tk 89.88 to Tk 202.29 per litre—an increase of around 80 percent.

For international flights, fuel prices have also been increased significantly. The price per litre has been set at USD 1.3216, up from USD 0.7384—reflecting an increase of around 79 percent.

BERC stated that the adjustment has been made in line with the prevailing market conditions, import costs, and international fuel prices. The new rates will remain effective until further notice.

Earlier, on March 8, the price of Jet A-1 fuel was also increased.
