Jet Fuel Prices Increased Twice Within Two Weeks

Staff Correspondent, (Tuesday, April 7, 2026)

The price of jet fuel for both international and domestic flights has been increased again. This marks the second price hike within a span of two weeks, following a previous increase on March 24.

For domestic flights, the price of jet fuel has been set at BDT 227.80 per liter.

On Tuesday, the Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission (BERC) announced the new prices. According to the latest adjustment, the price of jet fuel has been increased by approximately BDT 25 per liter.

In March, the price of jet fuel was BDT 202.29 per liter. Prior to that, it was sold at BDT 112.41 per liter. This means that within a short period, the price has nearly doubled.

For international flights, the price of jet fuel has been raised from USD 1.3216 per liter to USD 1.4806 per liter. Earlier, the price stood at USD 0.7384 per liter.

BERC stated that the price adjustment was made to align with rising global fuel prices, increased import costs, and prevailing market conditions.
