Summit Barisal & N’ganj received IMS certifications from Veritas

Today Bangladesh’s largest publicly listedindependentpower producerSummit Power Limited has received the Integrated Management System (IMS) certifications for its Barisal and Narayanganj Unit II power plants. The IMS certification includes Environment Management System (EMS)– ISO 14001:2015, Quality Management System (QMS) – ISO 9001:2015 and Occupational Health and Safety Assessment (OHSAS) – OHSAS 18001:2007. As a resultof these certifications, Summit is showingcontinued commitment to its business performance and gaining competitive advantage. Bureau Veritas, the world’s leading certification service provider has already certified other operating power plants of Summit.

The event was organized in Spectra Convention Centre in Dhaka. Managing Director of Summit Power Limited Lt Gen Abdul Wadud (Rtd) received IMS certifications for its Barisal and Narayanganj Unit II power plants from Country Manager, Bureau Veritas Bangladesh ( Pvt) Ltd.Sohel Azad. Among senior officials of the two companies Financial Controller & Company Secretary of Summit PowerSwapon Kumar Pal, ACA, Head of Business Developmentof Bureau Veritas (Bangladesh)Mukut K Barua, Head of Certification Md Towfiqul Arif were also present in the certificate hand-over ceremony.
