A joint venture contract was signed on Thursday to set 230kv power transmission line for transforming power from Mongla among State-owned Power Grid Company of Bangladesh (PFCB), Indian EMC and China TEB Company Limted. Transition line will transmit 660 MW of power to the national grid. Secretary of PGCB Company Mosarraf Hossain and President of EMC-TBE Anindya Mukherjee signed the contract.
The projects has been estimated Tk 114 crore for 24km double circuit line. PGCB is funding for the 230kv Mongla-Khulna line. As per contact PDCB will hand over the project by next 18 months.
PGCB Managing Director Masum-al-Beruni, Executive Director (p&d) Chowdhury Alamgir Hossain, Executive Director (o&m)Emdadul Islam, Executive Director (HR) Shofiulla, Chief Engineer Forid Uddin, Project Director Monaem Chodhury, EMC Chief Manager Bibek Sharma were present at the ceremony.
