The Power and Energy fair 2015, organized by ministry of power energy and mineral resource, is over. The fair was held at Bangabandhu International Conference center from 10 to 12 December, 2015. 160 companies with 303 stalls participate on this three day lasting fair. Four seminars were organized based on the fair.
In closing ceremony state minister of power energy and mineral resource Nasrul Hamid said, we are taking initiatives to ensure countries energy security. LNG and LPG will be imported and we will make coal based more power plant.
Government and private organizations introduced their works in the fair. Saif Power Technical introduced solar irrigation system. Dhaka Power Distribution Company (DPDC) provided connections to the visitors how were applied for the connections in the fair. Besides, to know customers complain DPDC starts ‘smart complain system’. Customers can see their electricity bill status and also submit complains through mobile.
Managing Director of DPDC Brig. G. Najrul Hasan (rtd) said we are doing this to improve our service. Besides providing connections we launched a system to receive complains from our customers.
However Dhaka Electric Supply Company (DESCO) took a project to modernize meter reading system for their customers. Now, meter reading system of DESCO is modern and digital. Customers can submit bill and also can see their bill payment states through mobile. DESCO informs, in this system we get more than one report contains customers meter number, customers account number, block and zone, GIS report of the house, use of electricity and cost. Customer can easily get information from the report through SMS.
Boropukuria showed how they mining coal as well as power generation system using those coals. Gas related stalls showed the present states of gas fields of Bangladesh and which fields are lifting gas and how gas is being lifted. BAPEX presented their current conditions and future plans.
Bangladesh Petrolia Corporations (BPC) informs oil import status, Eastern Refinery showed oil extraction system from Condensate and which kind of oil they produce. Bangladesh-India friendship Power Company showed how they generate electricity by ‘super critical technology’ by coal. Super Refinery Company is producing 6 types of oil. RR Imperial Electricals Limited comes up with modern power
cable and machineries. From the stall of this, India Bangladesh joint venture, company skin coated technology and retardant cable which was made by using world’s best technology.
