State Minister for Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Nasrul Hamid Saturday claimed that the Rampal power plant will not be harmful to the environment as it is being constructed with advanced technologies.
He said this at a press meet after a seminar organised by the petroleum and mining engineering department of Shahjalal University of Science and Technology in Sylhet
The seminar was organised to mark the department’s 12th founding anniversary.
Sust Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Aminul Haque Bhuiyan and Treasurer Dr Ilius Uddin Biswas also attended the seminar.
