Bangladesh Seeks Qatar Funds In Petrochemical

\Bangladesh seeks Qatar funds in petrochemical Nasrul Hamid, State Minister for Power and Energy, greets Ahmed bin Mohamed Al Dehaimi, Qatar Ambassador in Dhaka, at his secretariat office in the capital on Tuesday.
State Minister for Power and Energy Nasrul Hamid Tuesday requested the Qatar government for investing in petrochemical sector and also in setting up LNG terminal here.
The minister made the request to his Qatar counterpart when Qatar ambassador to Dhaka Ahmed bin Mohamed Al Dehaimi met him at his secretariat office.
During the meeting, State Minister for Power and Energy Nasrul Hamid said Qatar is the tested friend of Bangladesh. “We require huge natural gas…so Qatar can invest in LNG terminal and petrochemical industry here,” he said.
They discussed bilateral issues during the meeting.
Ahmed bin Mohamed Al Dehaimi said Qatar government wants to participate in the development programme initiated by Bangladesh under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
Ahmed bin Mohamed Al Dehaimi invited the state minister on behalf of assistant foreign affairs minister of Qatar Sultan Saad Al Muraikhi to attend the three daylong Doha Forum conference starting on May 21, 2016.
