Oil Spill Hits Sundarbans

A large quantity of oil, spilt from a sunken tanker in a river near the Sunderbans, may pose a serious threat to the ecological balance of the largest mangrove forest in the world. Indian disaster teams have begun a relief operation after Cyclone Hudhud pounded the eastern coast, forcing as many as 400,000 people to flee.
