ngineer Md Mahbubur Rahman has taken over the charges as Chairman of the Bangladesh Power Development Board (BPDB), said a BPDB notification. He assumed responsibility as the 38th chairman of the BPDB on Manday, replacing Md Engineer Belayet hossain, who was chairman. Prior to joining the new post with promotion, Engineer Mahbubur was Member (company affairs) of the state-run organisation.

The government has projected that Bangladesh will face 15,500 megawatt of electricity demand during the country’s largest four months boro paddy cultivation period starting from February 2022.
