The severe cyclonic storm ‘Madi’ over Bay of Bengal has weakened into a cyclonic storm and is likely to weaken further, an official said here on Wednesday.
The cyclonic storm “MADI” over Westcentral Bay and adjoining Southwest Bay moved southwestwards, weakened into a deep depression over the same area and was centred at 11,0600 UTC within half a degree lat 14.0°North and long 84.0 East. It is likely to weaken gradually and move in a southwesterly direction, a official of the Bangladesh meteorological Department told.
