Dhaka Electric Supply Company (DESCO) started initiating electric connection to those household owners who come at the fair. No subscribers will have to go through the long and time-consuming process to avail an electric connection if he/she comes at the DESCO stall at the fair.
DESCO started providing one-stop services and initiating the electric connection at their stall from the very first day of the 4-day long National Power and Energy Week-2016 fair while the country is celebrating its ‘success’ in reaching 15,000 MW of power generation capacity.
The DESCO stall provides requisition or demand paper and sells pre-paid meters. The Managing Director of DESCO Brig Gen Shahid Sarwar (Retd.) said to Energybangla that, customer service is DESCO’s prime target. “We have an app with that any subscribers can check his personal bill info and user will be able to submit his allegations through this app.” He suggested no to consult with any mediator while submitting an application for new connections. He also informed that, visitors will be able to pay their bills through online banking and will be able to buy prepaid meters at DESCO stall.
