Government sent a letter to the 41 foreigners to come back into their respective power plants those who left Bangladesh under the pretext of security. Tuesday they sent the letter. In that letter mention, it will be likely a breach of contruct if they didn’t join into the work quickly. They don’t have to worry about the security.
Earlier, Spanish Company Isolux take out 41 employ from three power plant. 38 employee from Siddhirganj 335MW power plant under Electricity Generation Company of Bangladesh (EGCB), 2 from Bibiyana 450MW power plant Unit 1 under Power Development Board (PDB) and 1 from Khulna 150MW power plant under North West Power Generation Company.
BPDB informs, according to the contract between BPDB and Isolux, they can’t remove their employ from the project. It is against the rule and regulation. If those employ don’t join shortly into the work they will take necessary actions.
Ministry of energy informs, project manager of Isolux Mr. Garcia sent a letter to BPDB chairman. Garcia informs on his letter, recently two foreigner was killed in Dhaka and Rangpur. IS has accepted the responsibility of that killing and they threatened to kill other foreigners. Employees are worry. That reason Isolux remove 41 staff from Bangladesh. if the condition improves they will back into their respective project.
Managing director of EGCB Mostafa kamal informs, plant construction is being interrupted because of those employees. Director of north-west power generation company Mohammad Nuruzzaman said, they are not facing any difficulties to run their plant. BPDB continues construction work to build their power plant in Bibiyana.
