The Power Division has instructed officials and employees of the Palli Bidyut Samiti (PBS) to withdraw their ongoing work stoppage and return to duty immediately. It has been clearly stated that failure to resume work within 24 hours will result in legal action under the relevant laws.
The directive emphasizes that uninterrupted electricity supply is an essential service. Any disruption or obstruction to this service is a punishable offense under the Essential Services Act. The government remains sensitive to the concerns and demands of PBS employees and is actively working to address them.
All officials and employees currently absent under the pretext of “mass leave” have been ordered to report to their respective workplaces within 24 hours. Otherwise, legal measures will be taken against them.

Officials and employees engaged in rural electricity supply who are absent under the pretext of a “mass leave” have been ordered to report back to their respective workplaces within 24 hours. Otherwise, legal measures will be taken against them.
It should be noted that PBS officials and employees across the country are currently observing an indefinite work stoppage to press their four-point demand, which includes the merger of the Rural Electrification Board (REB) with the Palli Bidyut Samiti.
