Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has given directives to the authorities concerned to give power connections within three months to the free-enclaves that the government took over recently.
She also asked to fulfill the demand by installing solar power system until completion of the power connection works. The Prime Minister gave the directives at the ECNEC meeting held at the NEC conference room in the capital on Tuesday.
While briefing journalists after the meeting, Planning Minister AHM Mostafa Kamal said the enclave people rejoiced after becoming Bangladesh citizens. “They are now part of us. So, the Prime Minister gave the instruction. Now we’ll act as per her direction.”
The meeting also took decision over shifting the Secretariat to the site of the International Trade Fair while the trade fair might be located to Purbachal.
The minister informed that china is funding for permanently shifting the trade.
