Four people have sustained burn injuries as a gas cylinder exploded on Rajshahi Cadet College campus in Sardah of the district.
The injured were identified as Cadet College head plumber Wahiduzzaman, 30, assistant mission Manjur Rahman, 28, Rubel, 45, of Shiroil Colony, and Selim, 40, of Chotobangram area in the city.
The injured were rushed to the burn unit of Rajshahi Medical College Hospital (RMCH).
Charghat police station Officer-in-Charge Nibaran Chandra Barman said the gas cylinder blasted around 8am Saturday while the staff and workers were blowing up balloons with the gas as part of their preparation for the December 28 annual sports of the college, leaving four people injured.
