Bangladesh Sunday generated 8,032 megawatts of electricity, the highest in the country’s history, Power Development Board officials said.
PDB officials said it produced at 9:30pm.There was no power outage at the time throughout the country They claimed.
On Wednesday, 7,923 megawatts electricity was produced.
They said 4,978 megawatts was produced by gas-fired power plants while 2,402 megawatts came from oil-based plants.
Thermal power plants contributed 75 megawatts, hydro-power plants produced 124 megawatts and the rest, 453 megawatts, was imported from India.
