Isolux, Spanish company, have to join in plant construction within 5
November. If they don’t do this they will be fined in high rate.
Allhough it will have some fine because of leaving the plant without
notice.
Ambassador of Spain Eduardo the Laijisia assured that they will be
back into the plant on time.
Sunday, energy power and mineral resource minister Nasrul Hamid had a
mitting with the ambassador. Hamid mentioned in the mitting, Security
has been strengthened and will continue in the future. Satate
minister said to Isolux through the ambassador to join into the field
quickly.
After the mitting Nasrul Hamid said, we discussed about the security.
They will join into the work within 5 November. Answering of a
question Hamid said, they have to count fine according to the
contract.
Ambassador said, now the condition is getting better. Soon Isolux will
order their workers to back to the work.
It was informed in the mitting that according to the contract between
BPDB and Isolux, it can’t remove their employ from the project. It is
against the rule and regulation. It will be likely a breach of
contract if they didn’t join into the work quickly. They don’t have to
worry about their security. If those employ don’t join shortly into
the work we will take legal actions.
Earlier, Government worn Isolux by sending letter. It has been asked
in the latter, by which section of the contact they remove their
employ.
Spanish Company Isolux take out 41 employ from three power plant. 38
employee from Siddhirganj 335MW power plant under Electricity
Generation Company of Bangladesh (EGCB), 2 from Bibiyana 450MW power
plant Unit 1 under Power Development Board (PDB) and 1 from Khulna
150MW power plant under North West Power Generation Company
