Titas, gas field in Brahmanbaria, formerly starts Drilling in 25 no. well on Thursday. Director of Petrobangla (operation and mains) Jamil Ahmed Alim inaugurated the work. Program director of 25 no. well Ali Murteza and officials were present there.
Managing director of Bangladesh Gas Field Kamruzzaman said, China’s contracting firm ‘Sinopac International Petroleum Service Corporation Limited’ is in charge of the drilling. Official informs, the drilling will be over within next 3 month.
Servery of 335 square kilometer area in Titas gas field was being completed in 2012. That time they decided to drill 4 wells. In response, the drilling of 25 no. well is being started. 23, 24 and 26 no well drilling will be start gradually.
Each day Bangladesh Gas Field Company Limited extracts 830 million cubic feet (mcf) of gas from Titas Gas field which is 31 percent of countries total production and it will be 845 mcf with the Inclusion of 25 no. well.
