Karnaphuli Fertilizer Co. Ltd. (KAFCO) has contributed Taka 11,732,479.00 (Taka eleven million seven hundred thirty two thousand four hundred seventy nine) being 0.5% of its profit for its financial year 2013-14 to the Sramik Kalyan Foundation. Mr. Md Mosharraf Hossain Bhuiyan, ndc, Secretary, Ministry of Industries & Chairman, KAFCO handed over the cheque to Mr. Md. Mujibul Haque Chunnu, MP, Honorable State Minister for Labour & Employment in a program held at the Ministry on the 7th April 2015. Messrs Mikail Shipar, Secretary, Ministry of Labor & Employment, Syed Ahmed, Inspector General of Factories & Establishment, Faizur Rahman, DG, Sramik Kalyan Foundation and from KAFCO, Messrs. Rabiul Haq Chowdhury, Company Secretary & GM, Asif Ainul Hoque, GM-HR, Ziaul Abedin and AHM Osman Goni, Trustees of KAFCO WPPF were also present during the ceremony.
