All CNG stations across the country will remain open 24 hours from July 10 to July 19 to facilitate movements for the holidaymakers.
Road transport and bridges minister Obaidul Quader made the disclosure after an inter-ministerial meeting at BIAM auditorium in the capital on Tuesday.
The minister also said the movements of trucks, covered vans and lorries will be restricted on national and regional highways for three days before and after the Eid.
However, the transports carrying daily necessaries, rotten items, garments items, medicine, raw hides and fuel would remain out of the purview of the decision.
The power ministry would take steps to keep CNG stations open for 24 hours for ten days.
Among others, rail minister Mujibul Hoque, shipping minister Shajahan Khan and state minister for home Asaduzzaman Khan attended the meeting.
