Engineer Shahinul Islam Khan has been appointed as the the new chairman of the state-owned Power Development Board (PDB).
Prior to his new position, he was serving as Member (generation) of the same organization, said a PDB press release.
Replacing his predecessor Abduhu Ruhullah, the new PDB chairman took charge on Thursday.
Shahinul Islam Khan joined PDB in 1979 as an assistant engineer and served in different capacities across a range of different positions including chief engineer (distribution) at Chittagong and Sylhet region and project director of solar street lighting project in city corporation.
Shahinul Islam Khan was born in Gazipur and graduated in engineering from Bangladesh University of Enginerring and Technology (BUET) in 1979.
