After explosion in Tengratila gas field Oxygen and Nitrogen ratio in the air is not normal. It is lower than the normal ratio which is dangerous to live on the area. Till gas babble is emitting which may cause harm.
Tuesday a 15 member delegation visited Tengratila gas field. After visiting the American delegation fined this information. Wednesday they visited various houses and areas at Girisnagar, Azobpur, Koiajuri, Tengrabazar and Shantipur which is near Tengratila gas field. At that time they inspected soil, trees, water and gas pressure from the babbles of the area. They astonished while visiting Abul Kashem, Harunur Roshid, Hiron mia, Nowab Ali and other villagers house.
They said, there is gas babbles all over the house. They are living with this kind of situation. Some people are making cooker using the emitting gas babble.
The delegation from counseling organization appointed by Petrobangla and BAPEX visited effected area. They examined the environment, health condition and gas pressure. They will collect information form the spot until 8th February.
Among others Dr. Ian Bhortuik, Adre, Sliip Beton, Daena and Nikolas were in the delegation. There is environmentalist, geologist and jurist in the delegation.
DGM of BAPEX Mizanur Rahman informed, if needed the delegation will use drone to collect elements from the area like soil, water, pictures and footage of that area. Besides they will also inspect people’s health status and pressure of gas from the gas babble.
This data will be collected for the two case which was placed by NIKO in international court after explosion in Tengratila gas field.
There was two explosion in Tengratila gas field on 7th January and 24th June. After the accident gas babble is emitting from that area.
