Mining contractors Germania Trade Consortium (GTC) and Germania Corporation Limited (GCL) issued a notice on Wednesday (July 2) night, announcing an indefinite suspension of mining operations (stone extraction) due to the unrest and chaotic situation.
Following the incident, on the afternoon of July 9, local dignitaries and political leaders, the local administration, officials of Madhyapara Granite Mining Company Limited (SGMCL) and the contractor GTC, and labor representatives held a meeting.
