The government has appointed Abul Mansur Md Faizullah as chairman of Bangladesh Oil, Gas and Mineral Corporation, widely known as Petrobangla.
A Public Administration Ministry issued a circular in this regard on Wednesday.
An official of 1984 batch of the BCS cadre, Faizullah worked as the additional secretary and wing chief of Asia, JEC and F&F wing at the economic relations division before his new job.
Before Petrobangla chairman Istiaq Ahmad has been made environment and forests secretary.
