The government has cleared a proposal to sign a deal with Russia’s state-run Gazprom International to drill five wells in several gas fields in Bangladesh at an estimated cost of over $ 96.22 million. The gas reserves in Bangladesh is enough to last until 2031, if the current rate of extraction is maintained, says the state minister for power, energy and mineral resources.
